Garden Experience Description
We provide customized and private experiences for individuals or groups of up to four, to ensure a personal, intimate introduction to Kyoto’s garden treasures, including lesser known sites off the beaten track.
The locations for each itinerary vary with the seasons.
Garden Experience Fees
Half-day experiences (three hours) and Full-day experiences
(six hours) are currently being offered.
The cost is determined for the complete experience,
(not a per-person cost) and will vary slightly depending on the degree of customization requested by the clients. Payment will be in cash at the conclusion of our time together.
Please note we accept payment in Japanese yen or the equivalent in Euros or US/Australian dollars.
Consulting
We charge 10,000 yen per hour for consulting. We ask that you pay a small deposit at the start of the consultation and the balance at the conclusion. Payment may be made by credit card, international postal money order or bank transfer.
Tour Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your scheduled tour for some unforeseen reason, we ask that you do so as far in advance as possible.
If you cancel the day before the scheduled date, we ask that you pay 50% of the tour fee.
In the case of a same-day cancellation or “no show,” we ask that you pay 100% of the tour fee.
PLEASE NOTE:
You enter all gardens at your own risk. Whilst every effort is made to ensure our visits are safe, it is important to understand that hazards exist in all gardens. Things to be careful of include: slippery or even surfaces ( paths, streams, stepping stones, bridges and walkways particularly when wet ). If you need help to negotiate steps and other obstacles, or have limited mobility, please make it known in advance so that we can assist you by tailoring our itinerary choice accordingly. We would like you to fully enjoy your garden experience and therefore urge you to proceed with the appropriate level of care.
